ARCADIA, N.Y. — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported that a Town of Lyons man has been arrested after a reported road rage incident involving him pepper-spraying and kicking a bicyclist.
Deputies say the incident started in the Village of Newark, continuing into the Town of Arcadia. Robert A Bushart, 71, swerved his car at the bicyclist, cutting the victim off, and then pepper-sprayed the rider in the face, WCSO reported. Bushart also reportedly kicked the rider in the face while on the roadway.
The victim gave WCSO Bushart’s description, leading to his arrest.
He was charged with assault in the third degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
He was taken to the Wayne County Jail and arraigned at CAP court.
