Denver Nuggets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves 112-97

The Denver Nuggets faced off against the Minnesota Timberwolves in a highly anticipated matchup that ended with a final score of 112-97 in favor of the Nuggets. The game was filled with intense moments and impressive plays from both teams, but ultimately it was the Nuggets who emerged victorious.

The Nuggets came out strong from the start, taking an early lead and never looking back. Their offense was firing on all cylinders, with standout performances from Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray leading the way. The Timberwolves fought hard to stay in the game, but they were unable to overcome the relentless pressure from the Nuggets.

Instead, the Nuggets went on the road where they revived their championship level of play.

After losing the first two games at home to fall behind 2-0 in the Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Nuggets went to the Midwest, where they won Games 3 and 4 to even the series 2-2.

The Nuggets now are poised to take the lead in the series when the teams meet for Game 5 at Denver on Tuesday night.

The Nuggets looked out of sync while going down 0-2 to Minnesota but three days between Games 2 and 3 gave them a chance to regroup. Now, the Timberwolves need to turn things around or risk facing elimination at home in Game 6.

Brunson, who bounced back impressively after a poor showing in Game 4, also added seven assists and four rebounds. He has now scored at least 40 points in five games in this year’s playoffs so far, the most of any player since LeBron James had eight in the 2018 postseason, per ESPN.

Pascal Siakam scored a team high 22 points for the Pacers, but it was a quiet night for star guard Tyrese Haliburton, who scored 13 points and took only nine shots all game.

Minnesota coach Chris Finch said before the game that the Wolves were looking to add to their rotation whether or not Conley played and he found some time for Monte Morris after Denver’s bench outplayed the Wolves’ reserves in Minneapolis. Morris scored six points.

In his pre-game comments, Finch also expressed dismay at the NBA fining Rudy Gobert $75,000 for making a money gesture following a call by referee Scott Foster in Game 4.
