The temperature was recorded below 35 degrees Celsius in 20 towns. Balangir and Titilagarh saw a drop of 10 degrees Celsius in the day temperature. The temperature also dipped to 8 to 9 degrees Celsius at many places in interior Odisha. The temperature has dropped by 7.3 degrees Celsius in the capital Bhubaneswar and 4.2 degrees Celsius in Cuttack. Malkangiri has become the hottest city in the state with a temperature of 39 degrees Celsius
