The Third T20 International Cricket Match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka was a thrilling encounter that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the very last ball. Both teams displayed exceptional skill and determination throughout the match, showcasing their talent and passion for the game.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first, setting a challenging target for Sri Lanka to chase. The Bangladeshi batsmen put up a strong performance, with Mahmudullah leading the charge with an impressive half-century. However, Sri Lanka's bowlers fought back valiantly, taking crucial wickets at key moments to keep their opponents in check.

The stage is set as Bangladesh (BAN) and Sri Lanka (SL) square off against each other in the third and final T20 international of the series. The decider will be played on a Super Saturday, February 09th, 2024, at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet at 2:30 PM IST. The visitors won the opening T20I while the home side bounced back and sealed the deal in the second game to make it 1-1 and take it to the decider.

Bangladesh are undefeated in the last five T20I series winning four of them and will look to extend that run of form.

The Tigers have never won a T20I series against Sri Lanka so they have a chance to create history and head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe spoke to the media on Friday.

Charith Asalanka has led Sri Lanka in the series so far, hitting an unbeaten 44 off 21 balls for a three-run win in Monday's opener.

Bangladesh, who have never beaten Sri Lanka in a T20 series, bounced back with an eight-wicket win in the penultimate over of Wednesday's match.

Home side coach Chandika Hathurusingha praised his team for their comeback win and said he was cautiously optimistic of a victory in Saturday's afternoon decider.

Mahedi bowled Asalanka before he inflicted too much damage on the home side.

However, Angelo Mathews and Shanaka ensured Sri Lanka did not lose their way completely.

The pair added 53 runs for the sixth wicket, with Mathews leading their way with 32 not out.

Shanaka, Sri Lanka's bowling hero in the opening match, was unbeaten on 20.
