PHILADELPHIA – Today, Temple University men’s basketball announced a new team member, signing 13-year old Cairo through Team IMPACT. Cairo, who is a cancer survivor, officially signed with the team today at McGonigle Hall. He will participate in many activities with the Owls, including games, practices and other team events during the next two years. Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multi-year program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country.
