Peppers is now the third Tar Heel to enter the Hall, joining Lawrence Taylor and Chris Hanburger. A local legend at Southern Nash High School in Bailey, N.C. who played football, basketball and ran track, Peppers arrived in Chapel Hill in 1999. He played three seasons under head coaches Carl Torbush and John Bunting and became one of the most prolific pass rushers in the nation.
