To the Editor: Fix the dam. Create deep pools alongside of river, to catch salmon offspring and help them survive through summers. Once home base, is established, the salmon will return to the same pools. I’ve seen deep pools, totally cut off from main source, in summer, substain young salmon, surviving, until rains come. Lived here, a long, long time. The dam removal is about water control, by non Lake or Mendocino County entities, downstream, being determined. Not about wildlife or salmon. If all wildlife (deer, bears, eagles, trout, turtles, otters, reginal birds..etc) are NOT considered as sacred living creatures too.
