Police officers broke up multiple small fights among a “large and disruptive crowd” at Teaneck High School following a varsity boys basketball game on Thursday against Hackensack High School, according to the Teaneck Police Department. At the conclusion of Teaneck’s win in the 54-52 opening night rivalry game, around 9:05 p.m., officers at the event observed several small fights. They also received word that a boy had a handgun in the parking lot near the school located on Cranford Avenue.
