A man’s body was found along Highway 101 near the Mendocino County line Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol reported. According to the CHP, “a deceased male was located on the shoulder” of the Geyers Road off-ramp from southbound Hwy 101 at the southern end of Mendocino County. “The cause of death is still under investigation, but based upon preliminary investigation, foul play is not suspected,” a CHP press release states. As of Thursday, the CHP reported that the man had not been identified, and that it is investigating the incident with the assistance of the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.
