A Bowling Green City Schools bus driver was cited after she struck a motorized wheelchair while making a right turn. Thursday at 4 p.m., Megan Charron, McClure, was driving the bus westbound on Parkview Drive and stopped for a red light on North Main Street. She didn’t see a motorized wheelchair in the crosswalk and proceeded to turn right, according to the Bowling Green Police Division crash report. She struck the wheelchair, causing abrasions on the occupant’s left arm, according to BGPD Lt. Adam Skaff. Charron was cited for failure to yield the right of way for pedestrians in the crosswalk, Skaff said. None of the passengers on the bus were injured, he said.
