A man was found dead near a Highway 101 on-ramp in Ukiah this week, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, personnel from the Coroner’s Office and California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched to the area of North State Street and the northbound on-ramp to Hwy. 101 shortly before 9 p.m. July 25 for the reported discovery of a deceased man. The body was described as an adult male found “approximately 100 yards east of the North State Street on-ramp to north Highway 101. The decedent’s body was decomposing and the decedent was pronounced deceased at 9:10 p.m.” According to the MCSO, deputies on-scene “determined the decedent was living a transient-type life
