This week is World Immunization Week! Bob Rogers Rotary Club of Sebastopol District 5130 is PolioPlus Chair for the District, which includes Ukiah  Rotary and South Ukiah Rotary. Most people have heard of polio, but few know that the disease still affects children around the world. This cause is close to my heart because my Dad had polio. Born in 1920 in Chicago, he was a young boy in a poor family. His mother brought in family and friends who exercised his limbs hourly/daily. Her homemade therapy worked and he was able to serve in the US Navy in WWII and Korea.
