Gordonsville High School FCCLA Focus on Homelessness for the Chapter Service Project

Gordonsville High School FCCLA Chapter organized a chapter service project to benefit the local homeless population. Kailey Hawthorne and Molly Jones put together a donation drive in our school and community to raise awareness of homelessness and needed items. GHS FCCLA donated items to Misty Smith, the homeless liaison for Smith County Schools. They collected clothing, blankets, non perishable food items, hygiene products, and backpacks. These items will be given out to families without a permanent residence in need. They were also able to donate items to local churches who have homeless ministries as well.
