Hailing from the southern Indian state of Kerala and based in Qatar, she accomplished this feat after her second book was published on August 29, 2021, while she was 10 years and 164 days old. She surpassed the record of Ritaj Hussain Alhazmi of Saudi Arabia, whose record was 12 years and 295 days. Laiba was nominated as the youngest person to publish a book series (female) on July 12.
