Palestinian security forces arrested Al-Araby Al-Jadeed correspondent Samer Khweira on Tuesday evening as he was covering an attack by security guards on students at a West Bank university. Speaking to The New Arab's Arabic-language sister site Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, Samer’s wife, Iman, said that while her husband was at the Rafidia Surgical Hospital in Nablus to cover the transfer of injured students, he was arrested by Palestinian security forces, then beaten and punched in the face. He was later released and taken to hospital, she said. No further details on the incident were provided. A peaceful sit-in by students at the An-Najah University also in Nablus was broken
