A stolen vehicle was located earlier this month with the help of a recently installed camera, the Ukiah Police Department reported. According to the UPD, a Ford F-150 pickup truck was reported stolen to the California Highway Patrol the morning of April 13, and around 12:50 p.m. that same day, the UPD received an alert that the vehicle was located. The UPD reports that one of the “Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) cameras” it had installed in the city sent an alert to officers advising that the stolen vehicle had been observed. When officers responded to that area, they reportedly located the truck in the parking lot of the Orchard Shopping Center in the 100 block of South Orchard Avenue
