Syrians flocked to their embassy in Lebanon on Thursday for an early vote in their country’s presidential election, as pro-regime voters were attacked in and around Beirut. Thousands arrived at the embassy in Baabda, a town in the hills southeast of Beirut, to take part in the election which will see Syrian President Bashar al-Assad run for a fourth time.
