Hardik has spent considerable time at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru since the IPL. He initially reported back spasms during the tournament before suffering a leg strain, further delaying his return.
India are currently playing an ODI series against New Zealand and will host Sri Lanka for a T20I series in December. Hardik Pandya's availability for the upcoming matches remains uncertain.
Gautam Gambhir Makes India's Fitness Stance Clear Ahead of ODI World Cup
Head coach Gautam Gambhir has already made India's position clear. While acknowledging the importance of Hardik and Jasprit Bumrah to the team's plans, he stressed that neither player would be rushed back before regaining full fitness.
Hardik's prolonged absence has also created selection challenges for India, particularly when it comes to finding the right balance in the pace-bowling all-rounder department.
