The pair, who married in 1997, have had plenty of success independent of one another over their three decades of marriage. Along with Days of Our Lives and RHOBH, Rinna also starred in Melrose Place and had guest spots on 8 Simple Rules, Veronica Mars, Entourage, The Middle, American Horror Stories, and Lopez vs. Lopez.
Of course, Hamlin’s no slouch when it comes to his career either. The 75-year-old actor’s credits include L.A. Law, Veronica Mars, Army Wives, Shameless, Mad Men, Glee, and most recently, Mayfair Witches.
Twenty-nine years into their marriage, Rinna and Hamlin are still going strong. Not only are the pair in a great place personally, but they’re also joining forces professionally. On November 18, they’ll open together on Broadway in It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (previews begin November 4).
Before giving the CBS Mornings crew marriage advice, the actress talked candidly about working with her husband. “I love working with Harry. He’s so professional. He really is one of my favorite actors to work with. He’s so professional. He knows his lines. And he’s on time,” she said.
Rinna and Hamlin met in the early ‘90s. At the time, they were both in other relationships. In a 2022 interview with People, Hamlin revealed, “She played hard to get. The Rules had just come out, and it was written by women, for women to teach them how to get a man. And in that book, one of the rules was, if you were called up by somebody and they ask you on a date, you have to say, ‘No.’ You had to wait at least a week or whatever. And I knew that she had read that book.”
While she may have played hard to get at first, Hamlin did add that Rinna “showed up and broke all the rules.” The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony nearly five years later on March 29, 1997.
