U.S. House of Representatives, NC-04 — Valerie Foushee (D) defeats Max Ganorkar (R)

Democrat Valerie Foushee is set to win re-election to the United States House of Representatives from North Carolina’s 4th congressional district, representing voters in Durham, Orange and parts of Wake and Chatham counties.
U.S. House of Representatives, NC-09 — Richard Ojeda (D) defeats Richard Hudson (R)

Democrat challenger Richard Ojeda is projected to unseat incumbent Republican Richard Hudson and win election to the U.S. House of Representatives in North Carolina’s 9th district.
North Carolina Senate, District 23 — Jonah Garson (D) defeats Laura Pichardo (R)

Democrat Jonah Garson is projected to continue representing North Carolina’s Senate District 23 and defeat Republican challenger Laura Pichardo.
North Carolina House of Representatives, District 56 — Allen Buansi (D) defeats Matthew Clements (L)

Rep. Allen Buansi will represent Chapel Hill and Carrboro in the North Carolina House of Representatives for another two years, as he’s projected to earn re-election on Tuesday.
Chatham County Sheriff — Steve Maynor (D) defeats Marcus Globuschutz (R)

Steve Maynor, who was appointed as Chatham County Sheriff by the outgoing Mike Roberson in August, is projected to win a full term in the office.
Chatham County Board of Commissioners — Katie Kenlan (D) and Franklin Gomez Flores (D) win
Democrats and incumbents Katie Kenlan and Franklin Gomez Flores are each poised to serve a second term on the Chatham County Board of Commissioners, after riding significant support on Election Night.
Orange County Board of Commissioners — Karen Stegman (D), Beth Bronson (D) and Rani Dasi (D) all elected
Both Democrats in contested races are projected as winners in the Orange County Board of Commissioners elections, with Karen Stegman projected to win the at-large seat and Beth Bronson projected to win the District 2 election. Meanwhile, Rani Dasi, who was appointed to the role this summer, will earn a four-year term on the board as she succeeds Jamezetta Bedford, a two-term commissioner who died in June after winning the March Democratic primary.
