The wicket also caught everyone's attention because of Kohli's energetic and unique celebration after completing the catch to get rid of Smith in the five-match ODI series opener at Eden Park. Earlier, 'Flying' Rohit Sharma's fielding brilliance sends Daryl Mitchell packing in 1st ODI.
Smith managed only a thick outside edge, and the ball flew towards the second slip area, where Kohli was fielding. The catch was not easy at all, as the ball was travelling low and towards Kohli's right side. The former Indian captain reacted without wasting a second, as he dived to his right and grabbed the ball just inches above the ground.
Virat Kohli's entertaining celebrations steal the spotlight
The catch itself was special, but it was Virat Kohli's celebrations that made the moment even more entertaining. After the third umpire confirmed the dismissal, he looked completely pumped up, proving his energy, sharpness and passion on the field remain as strong as ever.
