The Chicks fans are begging Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer to cancel their upcoming show after the band was forced to postpone Monday night’s concert.
“The Chicks’ performance tonight Monday, November 2, at Dolby Theatre has been rescheduled due to illness,” the band shared via Instagram just one hour before doors were set to open. “The rescheduled date is Wednesday, November 4.”
While the announcement made it clear that ticket holders who are unable to attend the new date would be offered a refund at the point of purchase, many fans found that to be untrue when dealing with Ticketmaster and other ticket distribution companies.
According to multiple fans who were set to see the “Not Ready to Make Nice” artists at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre on Monday night, the ticket companies refused to offer refunds unless the concert was outright canceled.
“CANCEL THE SHOW. We do not get a refund. By not cancelling and simply rescheduling, anyone who purchased tickets on any other platform, loses the money. Our only hope is to relist. So I will lose over $1200. We all fly out tomorrow,” one disgruntled fan commented.
Another shared a similar experience with GameTime, writing, “Please cancel. Game time won’t refund without cancellation. Already paid a lot for plane, hotel, etc. Please cancel so we can get something back!!!!”
“I Understand being ill, but waiting until an hour before doors is annoying. And Ticketmaster is saying I’m not eligible for a refund, so that’s fun,” a third voiced.
Seatgeek buyers also hit a dead end when trying to obtain a refund.
“Please cancel so we can get refunded @seatgeek is saying they won’t refund tickets since it was rescheduled. I drove 4 hours to the venue took time off of work and booked a hotel bought the outfit. And to drive up to the venue to read the sign was just so heartbreaking,” shared one would-be concertgoer.

Many fans have resorted to trying to resell their tickets on sites like Stubhub, with many being listed at well below face value. As of publication, the get-in price for a single ticket is just $27—a significant drop from the going rate for previous shows.
The Chicks are wrapping up their Taking the Long Way 20th Anniversary Tour in Los Angeles. They are scheduled to take the stage on Tuesday, November 3.
