However, like when Amazon canceled Bosch and has done spinoffs ever since, Netflix is considering a spinoff of The Lincoln Lawyer, which is set to be centered on Cobie Smulders’s character introduced at the end of the fourth season. That character will play a part in the final season, and then Netflix may finally greenlight the project!
Netflix has decided to “uncancel” a show in the past, most famously with Lucifer, which it canceled after five seasons, only to bring it back for a sixth season. CBS has also shown that “uncanceling” a show can work well, opting to U-turn on its SWAT cancellation after six seasons with a seventh and final season, only to then decide to renew it for an eighth season — and that show now has a spinoff on Starz.
Maybe there could be hope that The Lincoln Lawyer is revived. For now, fans should get ready for March.
