Zach Charbonnet’s wait is over. The Seahawks running back will play his first game of the season Monday night against the Bears, his first action since undergoing ACL surgery in February. Charbonnet carries no injury designation into the matchup, and Mike Macdonald said at his Saturday press conference that the fourth-year back is part of Seattle’s backfield plans against Chicago.
Rookie Jadarian Price (chest) also comes in without a designation, though Macdonald wasn’t ready to say whether the first-round pick will be activated from injured reserve before kickoff. Price has sat out each of the last four games.
The news is less encouraging for Seattle elsewhere on the roster. Macdonald has already ruled out three players: left tackle Charles Cross (ankle), wide receiver Rashid Shaheed (knee), and running back Velus Jones Jr. (hamstring). Edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu (ankle) is listed as doubtful.
Backup quarterback Drew Lock (elbow), guard Anthony Bradford (knee), nose tackle Brandon Pili (back), and linebacker Patrick O’Connell (toe) are all questionable for Monday night.
Here’s the Chicago Bears injury report for Monday’s contest.
