Jacobs finally played on Sunday after six weeks on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. The running was quiet, 11 carries for 36 yards. The receiving was not. He caught five passes for 55 yards, including a 25-yard catch-and-run touchdown.

That’s the angle I want. Green Bay has a first-time starter at center and a backup at right guard. When the interior is shaky, quarterbacks get the ball out fast, and the running back is the easiest outlet. I expect the app’s receiving projection for Jacobs to be built off a career profile, not off a game where he caught five.

Tucker Kraft: More on Receiving Yards

Kraft caught four passes for 48 yards and a 14-yard touchdown at Detroit. He’s the Packers’ starting tight end and one of Jordan Love’s favorite targets in the middle of the field.

Carolina’s linebackers are going to be stretched tonight. Phillips is out, which weakens the pass rush, and a quarterback with time will find the tight end down the seam. If Golden can’t go, Kraft’s target share goes up even more.

Love went 27 of 45 for 274 yards with two touchdowns and an interception on Sunday. The efficiency wasn’t great. The volume was.

Now he gets a secondary missing its starting left corner on a short week. Carolina can’t hide that kind of hole for a whole game. Christian Watson caught five passes for 57 yards at Detroit, and I’d expect Green Bay to send him at whoever lines up across from him early.

The risk is the line. If John Williams struggles at center and the pocket collapses, Love’s yardage takes a hit. That’s why I like Kraft and Jacobs a little more than Love himself. But if you want a third Packers leg, this is the one.

Tetairoa McMillan: More on Receptions

McMillan caught four of six targets for 40 yards on Sunday, which is about as quiet as he gets. Carolina’s whole offense fell apart, and the game was over by halftime.

I’m buying back in. He’s Young’s top receiver, and if Carolina falls behind in Green Bay, the volume comes his way. A quiet game also tends to drag a projection down, which is exactly when you want to take More on a No. 1 receiver.

Stick with receptions over yards. Catches come from volume. Yards need a big play, and Carolina hasn’t been creating many lately.

Young’s passing yards are the toughest call on the board. He came into Week 7 leading the league in passing yards per game, then put up one of his worst games of the year. Now he’s playing behind a line missing two starters. I’d skip him entirely rather than guess which version shows up.

Be careful with Golden, too. He’s questionable, and a receiver coming off a week of limited practice could be on a snap count. Wait for the inactives before you touch him.

And the Carolina run game is a stay-away for me. If the Panthers fall behind early again, Chuba Hubbard won’t get the carries to matter.
