ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The murder trial for the man accused of stabbing a woman to death last August will begin Tuesday afternoon.
Jury selection started Monday in the trial of Javier Justice. He is charged with murder in the stabbing death of Abigail Perez, the mother of his child. Police say it happened on Spencer Street on Aug. 14, 2025.
According to police, while Justice was stabbing Perez, another man intervened and shot him.
The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office said jury selection wrapped up Tuesday morning, and opening arguments are set to start at around 1:30 p.m.
