Olympic gymnastics star Simone Biles has sold her Texas home after listing the property for $1.275 million, marking the end of a six-year chapter for the athlete and her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens.
The four-bedroom house in Spring, Texas, went under contract within days of hitting the market in September and officially closed on Oct. 15, 2026, according to Houston Business Journal. The final sale price was reported to be between $1.08 million and $1.24 million, below the property’s last asking price.
Biles, 29, shared the news with fans through a TikTok video posted on Oct. 21. In the emotional clip, she walked through the nearly empty house and cried while talking about the memories she and Owens had made there.
The sale comes after the couple completed their custom-built Texas mansion, a project they began planning in 2020 and started building in February 2022.
The former home served as their living space while they waited for the new property to be finished. Now that the custom residence is complete, the couple has moved on from the Spring house as they adjust to Owens’ NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts.
Although the property sold quickly, saying goodbye was not easy for Biles.
In her TikTok video, recorded before the house was sold, the Olympic champion struggled to explain why leaving the place made her so emotional.
“Why the [explicit] am I boohoo crying? [explicit]. This house will be on the market for the first time and I don’t know why I’m boohoo crying.”
Biles explained that she had lived in the house for six years. During that time, she experienced happy moments and difficult ones, making the property an important part of her personal life.
“I was here for six years, and I feel like there were just so many good memories, so many bad memories,” she continued. “But I feel like I grew up in this house. It’s made me a real adult, so I’m gonna miss it. Ugh, I didn’t think I’d be emotional about a house.”
The video showed the house without most of its furniture, giving viewers a look at the space she was preparing to leave. Biles also showed the backyard, which includes a swimming pool.
Despite her sadness, she shared a kind message for the home’s next owner.
“Whoever buys this house, I hope it brings you as much joy as it did for me.”
Biles later revealed that the sale happened faster than she expected. In the caption accompanying her TikTok video, she wrote:
“The house sold in 4 days ?. I was so excited to put in air fresheners for the potential buyers & showing Jonathan the last look. I just cried instead… anyone else? #emotionallyattached”
Located in the gated Benders Landing Estates community in Spring, the property covers 3,998 square feet and sits on a lot of more than one acre.
The four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom house was built in 2019. Biles purchased it in 2020 and it later became the couple’s home while their custom mansion was under construction.
The property was listed for $1.275 million in September 2026. The house has several features designed for comfort, entertainment and everyday living.
Its open layout connects the main living spaces, allowing natural light to enter through large openings that look out toward the backyard.
The kitchen includes quartz countertops, a large waterfall-style island, modern appliances, custom cabinets, a wine wall and a hidden pantry. These features provide space for cooking and gathering with family and friends.
The property also has two primary bedroom suites. The main suite includes a bathroom designed with a spa-like feel and two walk-in closets. The second suite sits behind double doors, offering another private sleeping area.
Other indoor features include a media room, a separate study that can serve as a home office, and a sauna. The house also has a dedicated dog-washing station.
Outside, a resort-style swimming pool serves as the main feature of the backyard. The pool has both heating and cooling systems, allowing the owners to adjust its temperature.
A large patio surrounds the pool, creating room for outdoor meals and relaxation. The remaining space includes grass and landscaped areas.
According to Homes of Celebs, the property also has an oversized three-car garage and a whole-home generator.
The sale of the Spring home is closely tied to the couple’s long-awaited move into their custom-built Texas mansion.
Biles and Owens began planning their new home in 2020. The design process took more than a year, and they later faced delays while waiting for approval from their homeowners association.
Construction finally began in February 2022.
What they initially expected to be a much shorter project took years to complete. The couple shared updates throughout the process, allowing fans to follow the home’s progress from the early building stages to the finished rooms.
Biles announced that the mansion was complete in November 2025. After the construction work ended, the couple officially received their keys and prepared to move in.
Reflecting on the long process, Biles previously wrote on Instagram:
“Home building requires a lot of patience.”
She also joked about how the original construction estimate had changed.
“They lied when they said nine months to build!”
The finished property features a custom design that reflects the couple’s preferences. Biles has shared glimpses of the house with her followers, including its kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, outdoor cooking area and swimming pool.
In an interview with People in May 2025, she described how she and Owens worked together on the design.
“I think we’ve done a good collab of what we wanted our house to look like.”
The project became a major undertaking for the couple, who had to wait through design work, approvals and construction before they could settle into the finished home.
Their new mansion is separate from the Spring property they recently sold. The former house served as a temporary home base during the years they spent waiting for the custom residence to be completed.
The property sale also comes as Owens begins another chapter in his football career.
The NFL safety signed a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts in March 2026 after previously playing for the Chicago Bears and other NFL teams.
His move to Indianapolis has brought another change to the couple’s living arrangements. While maintaining their Texas home, Biles has also spent time in Indiana to support her husband during the football season.
In September, Biles spoke about her plans to spend more time in Indianapolis.
“I’ve been in Houston most of the time, so I’m going to officially move there [to Indianapolis] a little bit later,” Biles told Complex.
She also spoke about what mattered most to her as Owens continued his career.
“I’m just excited to watch my husband,” she said. “It doesn’t matter, as long as he’s safe and healthy and he’s having fun, then I don’t care.”
For Biles, the Spring house was more than a property on the real estate market.
She bought it in 2020, the same year she met Owens through the dating app Raya. They became engaged in February 2022 and married in April 2023.
The house was therefore part of their lives before and during their marriage. It also remained their home while their custom-built mansion took shape.
For Biles, the house may now belong to someone else, but the memories she made there remain part of her story.
