ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A local church hosted its annual fall garage sale, drawing crowds despite rainy weather and raising money for church ministries and local partners.
The two-day sale at the Summerville Presbyterian Church on St. Paul Boulevard featured rooms filled with donated items, all organized by volunteer teams. Regulars and newcomers searched for deals, with half-off prices offered Saturday.
“The garage sale supports the church’s ministries, but we also are really proud to be able to use this event to partner with mission partners in the community. So it doesn’t just benefit the church, but we donate a number of things to partner organizations to support our neighbors,” Pastor Elaine Loggi said.
Any unsold items were donated to local organizations, helping neighbors in need instead of going to waste.
