ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Designers and engineers from across Rochester built giant sculptures out of canned food to help fight hunger.
The 17th annual “Canstruction” event brought together local firms to create art and donate the food to Foodlink.
“It is absolutely wonderful to really be able to participate in our community. It’s a big value of our company and they’re very supportive of us when we do this. We’re one of two teams who have done it every year,” said Lindsay Davis, project designer.
This year, LaBella’s team created an Alice in Wonderland-themed sculpture. All canned goods used in the event were donated to Foodlink.
