Samana marks its debut in the premium property market with Collecta ...United Arab Emirates

Local News by : (ME CONSTRUCTION NEWS) -

Samana Developers has launched Samana Collecta, a new real estate brand focused on premium, lifestyle-led developments, with its first flagship project planned for The World Islands in Dubai with a gross development value exceeding US $1.1bn.

The launch marks a new phase in the developer’s growth strategy, introducing a dedicated platform for a curated portfolio of residential projects centred on distinctive locations, contemporary design, international brand partnerships and bespoke living experiences.

Built around a ‘life first’ philosophy, Samana Collecta aims to select destinations based on the lifestyle opportunities they offer, rather than location alone. The company plans to establish the brand in Dubai before expanding into international markets.

Its debut development at The World Islands will comprise 840 branded residences, 7 floating villas and 2 tree villas. The project is intended to establish a new model for waterfront living in Dubai, positioning the island as a destination for year-round residential use rather than primarily a leisure or holiday retreat.

Commenting on the launch, Samana Developers CEO Imran Farooq said the company’s initial growth phase focused on building scale and establishing its position in Dubai’s competitive real estate market.

“The first chapter of Samana was about proving that we could scale, compete and establish ourselves among Dubai’s leading developers. Samana Collecta is about what comes next. We are taking what we have learned and applying it to the premium segment, with a sharper focus on location, design, experience and the way people want to live,” Farooq said.

He described The World Islands as one of Dubai’s most distinctive waterfront locations, adding that the development would seek to make island living practical for permanent residents.

“The opportunity now is to make island living work for everyday life – not only as somewhere to visit, but as somewhere people can genuinely call home. Dubai is evolving rapidly, and so are the expectations of residents, families, entrepreneurs and professionals. We want to create a destination that responds to that shift while remaining closely connected to the city,” he said.

Farooq added that the company’s ambitions for Samana Collecta extend beyond its inaugural project, with Dubai serving as the launchpad for a brand intended for international destinations.

The World Islands project is being planned around the needs of full-time residents, combining privacy and waterfront access with amenities, services and transport connections typically associated with established residential communities.

Planned facilities include multiple beaches, a lagoon, swimming pools, a beach club, water sports facilities, spas, indoor and outdoor gyms, co-working spaces and a dedicated welcome centre. Everyday retail and essential services will also form part of the development, with core residential amenities and services scheduled to be operational from the first handover.

Dining will be another central feature, with several restaurant concepts planned for the island. These include a signature floating Italian restaurant to be developed in collaboration with a Michelin-recognised culinary partner.

Connectivity with mainland Dubai is expected to be supported by regular yacht shuttle services operating at 30-minute intervals. Embarkation points will be announced closer to the launch.

The combination of transport links, high-speed connectivity, co-working facilities and day-to-day services is intended to accommodate changing working and living patterns, particularly among entrepreneurs and professionals seeking greater flexibility in where they live and work.

According to the developer, these features are central to its vision of making island living a practical residential choice rather than an occasional escape.

The residential portfolio will include studios and 1-4 bedroom homes, alongside the floating and tree villas. All residences are planned to offer sea views, with layouts designed to maximise natural light and visual connections to the surrounding water through generous glazing and extended sightlines.

Italian-inspired landscaping will run throughout the wider island, complementing residences being developed in collaboration with an internationally recognised Italian luxury brand known for its design heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetic.

The identity of the brand partner will be announced separately.

Through Samana Collecta, the developer aims to expand beyond its established market position into a more selective segment of the property sector, with an emphasis on branded living, distinctive destinations and residential experiences designed around evolving lifestyle expectations.
