Eve Plumb reacted to a resurfaced video from her Brady Bunch days. But it wasn’t a clip from the famous TV sitcom that aired from 1969 to 1974 on ABC.
Instead, Plumb, 68, commented on a video shared by Los Angeles publicist Danny Deraney on Threads. In the clip, Plumb and her TV siblings Barry Williams, Maureen McCormick, Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland, and Susan Olsen are seen performing at the Hollywood Bowl in 1973.
In the video shot in July 1973, the Bradys are singing and dancing to the song “Proud Mary” while wearing coordinating orange and yellow costumes.
Plumb commented on the clip with, “Ok! I’m out of breath just watching this.”
“This is not the variety show, but part of an act we had taken on the road around the country,” the Jan Brady actress explained. “The costumes were made by a costume designer and were our opening act costumes. Watching this, I’m amazed that we were able to pull off what we had spent months learning how to do.”
In November 1973, The Brady Bunch stars’ musical performance aired on TV as part of the special The World of Sid and Marty Krofft at the Hollywood Bowl. The special was hosted by Sigmund and the Sea Monster stars Johnny Whitaker and featured Jack Wild, Billy Barty, and various Krofft Saturday morning TV puppet characters.
Of course, the musical moment wasn’t a one-off for The Brady Bunch child actors. During the height of Brady fandom, the six kids were part of a touring act.

Earlier this year, Plumb told The Morning Show that it wasn’t until the cast started performing music ahead of the final season of the show that she felt really famous.
“[The Brady Bunch] never really hit the big ratings,” she shared. “Everybody sort of looked down on it as fluff and not serious fare. … We did realize we were very popular once we started making albums, and we would go out and sign records at a department store on the weekends, and we would get a huge crowd. That was when we realized that, yes, it was very popular.”
Plumb’s musical career was cut short. In her memoir Happiness Included, she wrote that she refused a proposed deal with talent manager Harvey Shotz because her father, former RCA executive Neely Plumb, questioned Shotz’s big talk and pulled her out of The Brady Bunch singing group.
