Overall, there were multiple meet and pool records broken over the two-day meet.

Women’s Recap

There were two pool and meet records broken on the women’s side, both by Arizona State. The first came in the very first event of the meet, the women’s 400 medley relay.

The Arizona State squad of Miriam Sheehan (25.10), Lucie Vasquez (1:00.17), Julia Ullmann (51.48), and Albane Cachot (46.76) stopped the clock in 3:30.25 to win by a little more than a second over the University of Arkansas and set new pool and meet records.

In the women’s 100 freestyle, ASU sophomore Albane Cachot swam the top time of 47.12, taking down Julia Dennis‘ 47.52 pool record from last year and finishing seven tenths ahead of SMU’s Maddy Parker‘s 47.87. Parker’s swim tied the SMU team record in the event.

Cachot also won the 50 free, swimming 21.70 to finish a tenth ahead of Arkansas’ Harriet Rogers, who swam 21.83.

Finally, Cachot was a member of ASU’s three other winning relays. In the 800 free relay, the team of Cachot (1:43.68), Grace Lindberg (1:45.96), Alexa Reyna (1:48.81), and Alyssa Albertyn (1:46.25) swam 7:04.70, stopping the clock more than eight seconds ahead of SMU’s time of 7:12.81.

They opened day two with a win in the 200 medley relay, courtesy of Miriam Sheehan (24.34), Lucie Vasquez (27.71), Julia Ullmann (25.53), and Cachot (21.51) swimming 1:37.09.

The final event of the meet, the women’s 200 freestyle relay, went to the ASU team of Cachot (21.91), Jordan Greber (22.64), Miriam Sheehan (22.17), and Alyssa Albertyn (22.06), who touched in 1:28.78.

Albertyn, who is only a freshman with the Sun Devils had a huge meet and also won two individual events. In the 200 freestyle, she set a new lifetime best 1:44.95 to earn the win by almost two seconds over SMU’s Chloe Douglas-Byrne, who swam 1:46.70. This swim took a second-and-a-half off the 1:46.46 mark she set in March of 2026.

In the 200 backstroke, Albertyn swam 1:54.68, finishing about half-a-second ahead of Mizzou’s Alexis Cook. This was a new lifetime best by half-a-second from the 1:55.15 she swam in December of 2025.

She also picked up lifetime bests with her ‘B’ final wins* in the 100 free (49.03) and 100 back (53.39). ASU teammate Miriam Sheehan won the women’s 100 backstroke in 51.79, four hundredths faster than the 51.83 mark she set in November of 2025.

*Note that only one athlete per team was allowed in each final.

There were two swimming events on the women’s side that went to non-ASU athletes. The women’s 200 breaststroke was dominated by a few Arkansas swimmers. Sophomore Ellen Garritson and freshman Ellery Chandler won the ‘A’ and ‘B’ finals respectively, touching in exactly the same time of 2:12.22.

For Garritson this was only three tenths off her best of 2:11.90 and for Chandler, this was a massive lifetime best, taking more than six seconds off the 2:18.57 mark she set in March of 2025.

The women’s 200 butterfly went to SMU grad student Dori Hathazi in 1:56.26, a little more than a second off her best of 1:54.87 from March of 2024.
