Some Metra train lines to and from the Chicago suburbs were canceled Friday morning due to crew shortages.

Service alerts posted to Metra’s website Friday morning showed at least two Metra BNSF trains that were scheduled to depart from the western suburbs to Chicago’s Union Station would not operate.

According to the alert, BNSF train #1308 scheduled to depart Lisle at 7:08 a.m. and BNSF train #1306 scheduled to depart Aurora at 6:47 a.m. were both canceled.

Metra also warned of delays on inbound and outbound Union Pacific West trains due to a vehicle stuck on the tracks near Maywood.
