If you’ve ever had an auto policy with State Farm, you could have money coming to you.
Starting in July, State Farm began issuing $5 billion in cash back dividends to its auto customers.
According to the company, “The dividend is being distributed in waves to eligible customers across more than 49 million State Farm Mutual auto vehicles. Each customer’s payment is based on a percentage of the premium paid for each qualifying policy in 2025. Percentages vary by state, ranging from 4% to 10%.”
You may get an email about this, or you may not.
Qualifying customers will be notified of their dividend payment by either an email from “donotreply@e.sfdividend.com” or a letter in the mail.
But if you haven’t received a letter or email, it is still a good idea to check the official State Farm Dividend Payment Portal to see if there’s a payment waiting for you.
According to State Farm: “For payment questions or to learn more about state-specific dates, customers can visit sfdividend.com or call the Dividend Customer Contact Center at 1-888-808-9532. Because the distribution covers more than 49 million auto vehicles, the payment process will take several months to be completed nationwide.”
State Farm will not ask you to pay a fee to receive your dividend payment. State Farm will not ask you for your personal email password, banking password, digital-wallet password or any other personal password. You will be asked for your policy number.
According to State Farm President & CEO Jon Farney, “State Farm Mutual is able to provide value directly to our customers while maintaining financial strength to keep our promises in the future. That translated this year to lower auto rates and cash back in the form of a $5 billion policyholder dividend.”
