— Washington Capitals (@Capitals) October 5, 2026Ovechkin is arguably the greatest goal scorer in the history of the NHL, with an all-time record 929 goals in 1,575 regular-season games. Consider for a moment: Ovechkin scored his 100th career regular-season goal on October 12, 2007 — eight days after Patrick Kane made his NHL debut. And five months after Anton Frondell was born.
Ovechkin’s most famous moment at the expense of the Blackhawks came on Dec. 13, 2022 when he recorded a hat trick at the United Center to reach 800 career regular-season goals. The Caps visit the Blackhawks for Ovechkin’s final time on Wednesday, March 10, 2027.
