Ahead of Amazon’s October Prime Day 2026 sale, the Eero Max 7 (two-pack) has dropped to $799.99 from $1,149.99, taking $350 off and bringing the mesh system to its lowest price on record, according to price trackers. That is still a serious amount to spend on a router setup, but the Max 7 sits at the top of Eero's lineup and carries an Editors' Choice and an "excellent" rating from PCMag for its combination of raw speed and ease of use. That said, there's no USB port, so plugging in a drive to share across the network isn't an option here. More significantly, as PCMag's review points out, parental controls and network security tools sit behind a paid subscription (eero Plus, starting at $9.99 per month), meaning the spending continues after the hardware is paid for. Wi-Fi 7 also only pays off if your devices support it.
