The College Swimming League kicked off this past weekend with Match #1 and Match #2. Over 1,200 tickets were sold between the two matches.
Match #1 on Thursday night saw 493 tickets sold. Friday night’s match #2 saw higher ticket sales with 714 tickets sold. Friday night’s ticket count is notably higher than most dual meets that are free to attend.
Tickets are $25 for general admission and $100 for the on-deck VIP suites. Each on-deck VIP suite has 19 seats across from each of the four teams competing in the match.
Match #3 will take place this week in Stanford, California on campus as Stanford will host Cal, Ohio State, and Auburn. Ohio State is the only team that has already competed in the CSL this season as they swam in match #1. Ticket sales have been strong so far for match #3 as the on-deck VIP suites are sold out and over 1,000 tickets have been sold for general admission. Capacity is 2,000 seats.
The CSL’s Instagram shows that match #3 in Stanford, match #6 on campus at the University of Georgia, and match #8 in Indianapolis are “selling fast.” Matches #1-6 are the regular season, match #7 is the wild card, and match #8 is the championship match. Each of the four schools in the championship match earns $25,000 in prize money.
