A teen has been arrested and charged in connection to dozens of vehicle break-ins at multiple Chicago-area hospitals.
According to authorities, the teen was taken into custody on September 22 in Chicago, and faces charges that they broke into dozens of vehicles at Loyola University Medical Center and at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital.
Officers with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office responded to Loyola University Medical Center on September 1 on a call of multiple vehicle break-ins at the facility.
According to officials, at least 64 cars had been broken into at the university, with numerous vehicles burglarized police said.
During the course of their investigation, police identified a teen suspect, who was wanted on a parole violation warrant.
That teen was arrested on September 22, and has been charged with criminal damage to property and burglary of motor vehicles, according to police.
The same teen is also being investigated for other similar break-ins in other parts of Cook County, authorities said.
