Still, now executive producer Frank Valentini has set the record straight and broken his silence on this matter once and for all.
Valentini spoke with Soap Opera Digest reporter Mara Levinsky, where he revealed that, despite Charlotte attending boarding school, there are no plans to write the character off permanently.

The Daytime Emmy-winning executive producer revealed that Burke is attending college out of state and, as a result, asked to be written off the show to accommodate her school schedule.
The soap plans to bring Burke back during her off periods, with episodes set to be filmed around her holidays and school breaks.
