It comes following fiancé Ravi Gulati's (Aaron Thiara) realisation that she is pregnant with Max Branning's (Jake Wood) baby. The two had been engaging in an affair for months, with Ravi even vowing to kill Priya's mystery man when he learnt of his identity.
However, she still planned to keep her unborn child's paternity a secret, though it didn't take long for Cindy to realise. Despite agreeing to not cause anymore trouble in the wake of her marriage collapsing, she marched into Priya's flat to try and find further evidence of Max's wrongdoing.
Upon finding the paternity results, she ordered Priya to leave Walford for her family's sake.
In today's instalment, utterly broken by his one true love's betrayal, Ravi raced out of the flat.
Priya knew that she had to set the record straight with Cindy, and asserted that she had no intentions of departing. However, a conversation with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) was about to change that.
Ravi had turned to Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) for support, and was urged to make things right with Priya. He promised her that they could raise the child as his own, but ultimately, she wasn't prepared to do that. Cindy's threats reverberated through her mind - she had to go.
