Scream fans are getting the chance to step back into the ’90s this Halloween season — and Ghost Face is coming along for the ride.
In celebration of the original Scream film’s 30th anniversary, Angry Orchard Hard Cider is opening Angry Orchard Video, a temporary pop-up in downtown Manhattan designed to look and feel like a nostalgic ’90s video store. The experience will take place on October 2 and 3 and will feature hard cider tastings, Scream-inspired merchandise and photo opportunities.
The best part? Original Scream star Skeet Ulrich, who played Billy Loomis in the 1996 horror classic, will make a special appearance at the pop-up to celebrate the launch of Mystery Caller, a new Ghost Face-inspired cider.
For Ulrich, the collaboration taps into what made Scream so closely tied to the era in which it was released.
“Part of the magic of Scream was the time it came from, when going to the video store was part of the experience,” Ulrich said. “It’s been incredible to see how different generations continue to connect with the franchise, and Angry Orchard Video brings fans back to that era while giving them a chance to step into the world of Scream in a completely new way.”

The pop-up — inspired by Angry Orchard’s new Thriller Variety Pack, a collaboration with the Scream franchise and Fun World, the owner of the Ghost Face copyright and trademark — will welcome guests with a customizable membership card featuring their photo, which will guide them through the experience as they explore the video-store-inspired space.
“Scream is incredibly nostalgic for so many fans, and as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise, we wanted to bring that ’90s nostalgia to every part of this collaboration,” said John Dorman, director of marketing at Angry Orchard. “From the VHS-inspired artwork on the Thriller Variety Pack to Angry Orchard Video, we’re bringing fans back to a time when picking out your next scary movie was just as memorable as watching it.”
The limited-edition variety pack features two classic flavors, Blood Orange and Headless Pumpkin, and two new seasonal flavors, Mystery Caller and Caramel Apple Curse. The packaging itself leans into the nostalgia, featuring VHS-inspired artwork and glow-in-the-dark elements that reveal Ghost Face and the franchise’s famous “What’s your favorite scary movie?” line.
