GOLETA, Calif. (KEYT) Animal lovers had a chance to meet shelter dogs, a 3-legged cat and rabbits available for adoption.
It happened at the 2nd Annual Tails of Hope.
The Santa Barbara County Animal Care Foundation hosted Tails of Hope at Rancho La Patera Stow House in Goleta.
The space included a silent and live auction, food and wine, including La Leiff wines, and more.
Nick Koonce brought Lola, who lost a leg in a car accident.
This dog wouldn't be here today without County Animal Services intervention and saving her from her traumatic injury, she has allowed me to train her to be a service dog, I couldn't be happier," said Koonce who works with the Accessibility Coalition for Transformation.
Lee Heller helped coordinate Tails of Hope.
"Animal services is the most important animal welfare agency in the county, it does all animal welfare, it is a government agency, and it always needs more financial support," said Heller.
People and pets also seemed to enjoy the SB Bubble Guy and his crew.
They shared the magic of giant soap bubbles near a number of nonprofit information tables.
Supporters of the tails of hope include a who's who of locals including celebrity emcees Bo Derek and John Corbett.
