ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police say a motorcyclist died in a crash with a pole on Dewey Avenue on Saturday.
Greece and Rochester police went to Dewey Avenue, near Burling and Benwell roads, around 2:10 p.m. for a report of a motorcycle crash. When officers got to the scene, they found the crashed motorcycle, and reported that the adult rider was dead on the scene.
Investigators say the rider was headed north on Dewey Avenue when the crash happened.
The street will be closed until the investigation into the crash is complete, police say.
Police also say there’s no criminal involvement in the crash, and no other vehicles were involved. The rider hasn’t been identified yet by police.
