Many are still mourning and honoring her legacy, but some fans are speculating that Miley Cyrus will honor her again in her upcoming project.
Cyrus announced on Wednesday morning via social media that the music video for her song “Let’s Get Married” will be out on Thursday at midnight ET. The tune is the third track of Cyrus’ upcoming album, Bass Persuades, out this Friday, and its music video was filmed in Paris. According to fan accounts and sources, actual clips from Miley’s wedding with her husband, Maxx Morando, are expected to be featured in the music video as well, and many think Parton will be featured.

The “Coat of Many Colors” singer was very close to the Cyrus family and was even Miley’s godmother. Parton’s relationship with the Cyrus family started way before Miley was born. Parton toured with Miley’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, in 1992 while Miley’s mother, Tish, was pregnant. When Miley was born in November of that year, the “Jolene” singer happily accepted the invitation to be Miley’s godmother, treating her like her own. The two maintained a close relationship, and Parton became the Hannah Montana star’s longtime music collaborator and mentor.
“What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis. ?,” Cyrus wrote on Instagram days after Parton passed.
