Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Junior Nationals qualifier Coyle Moore has announced his verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Georgia beginning in the fall of 2028, becoming the school’s first publicized recruit in the class of 2032. He confirmed the news on SwimCloud, writing:

I’m beyond excited and honored to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Georgia. I want to thank my family, friends, and teammates for helping me reach this dream. I would also like to thank my coaches Richard and Danny for the guidance they provided me. And a special thanks to Coach Neil, Coach Mike, and Coach Nate for this amazing opportunity. GO DAWGS!!

A junior at Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Moore has been a member of his school’s varsity swimming team since his freshman year. He also trains year-round with Tide Swimming, where he primarily specializes in middle-distance freestyle, butterfly, and backstroke. He holds Junior Nationals qualifying times in the 100, 200, and 500 free.

Moore is coming off a 2025-26 season that saw him drop about 14 seconds in the 500 free, over four seconds in the 100 fly, roughly three and a half seconds in the 200 free, just under two seconds in the 100 back, over a full second in the 100 free, and a few tenths in the 50 free.

On the high school scene, Moore finished as the runner-up in both the 100 free (44.65, a current PB) and 200 free (1:37.35, then a PB) at the Virginia High School League (VHSL) Class 5 State Championships in February, before going on to have the best meet of his season at the Virginia Senior Championships a few weeks later, where he won the 100 free (44.69), 200 free (1:36.32, a current PB), and 500 free (4:25.85, a current PB), while finishing second in the 50 free (20.50, a current PB). He closed the season at the VA SRVA Shamrock Showdown at the end of March, clocking 49.00 in the 100 fly and 50.48 in the 100 back.

A Division I program, Georgia competes in the Southeastern Conference, with the Bulldogs placing fourth out of 11 teams at this past season’s conference championships before sending 12 athletes to compete at the NCAA Division I Men’s Championship, where they finished 15th overall. To score at the meet, times of 19.57, 42.95, 1:34.48, and 4:20.84 were needed in the 50, 100, 200, and 500 free, while 46.48 was required in the 100 fly and 46.94 in the 100 back, putting him outside the cutoffs for now. Still, he has three full seasons of training to go before even lining up at his first conference meet.
