SANTA MARIA, Calif. (KEYT) – Two 15-year-olds were arrested in connection with a robbery at-knifepoint outside the Town Center Mall Thursday evening.
On Sep. 10, around 6:20 p.m., officers were dispatched for a reported robbery outside the Town Center Mall stated a press release from the Santa Maria Police Department.
According to Santa Maria Police, a victim was approached by two people, later identified as two 15-year-olds to Your News Channel, and at least one of the suspects threatened the victim with a knife during the encounter.
The teen with a knife took the victim's property and then fled the scene alongside their accomplice on foot detailed the Santa Maria Police Department.
The duo was spotted by officers several blocks away and arrested for robbery explained local law enforcement agency.
The Santa Maria Police Department noted that the pair had several other items that are currently believed to have belonged to other victims and anyone with more information is asked to contact dispatchers with the Santa Maria Police Department at 805-928-3781 ext. 2277.
