Junior Nationals qualifier Caleb Asebrook has announced his verbal commitment to swim and study at Queens University Charlotte beginning in the fall of 2027. He publicized the news on SwimCloud, writing:
I choose Queens university due to the team culture throughout their practices and meets.
A rising senior at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee, Asebrook has been a member of his school’s varsity swimming team since his freshman year. He also trains year-round with Nashville Aquatic Club, where he primarily specializes in sprint freestyle, butterfly, and backstroke.
Asebrook is coming off a short course season that saw him drop over two seconds in both the 100 fly and 100 back, nearly half a second in the 50 free, and exactly two-tenths in the 100 free. He set his current PBs of 20.75 in the 50 free, 48.25 in the 100 fly, and 50.32 in the 100 back at the SE TNAQ Speedo Southern Premier in March, while his 46.97 best time in the 100 free was set at the NAC Timedrop Music City Invitational in December.
On the high school scene, Asebrook competed at the Tennessee Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA) State Championships in February, where he finished sixth in the 100 fly (49.56) and seventh in the 100 back (50.50), in addition to helping Ravenwood to seventh in the 200 free relay (20.17) and 400 free relay (45.11).
Asebrook is a Winter and Summer Junior Nationals qualifier, though he has not yet competed at either competition.

Asebrook’s current lifetime best in the 100 fly would have placed eighth, while his PB in the 100 back would have earned him a spot in the ‘B’ final. He’s also within range of the 20.42 and 45.24 needed to earn a second swim in the 50 and 100 free. With two full seasons of training still ahead before he lines up at his first conference meet, Asebrook is already slated to be an immediate contributor.
Asebrook joins fellow sprint freestyler MacCade Ward as the only publicized commits in Queens’ class of 2031 so far.
