GALEN, N.Y. — On Thursday, around 6 p.m., the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested a woman from the Village of Clyde on multiple charges, involving endangering the welfare of a child.

Deputies say Kathryn J. Betts, 66, hit a nine-year-old child near an 11-year-old, violating an order of protection, and pushed a 12-year-old.

She’s been charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and two counts of harassment in the second degree following an investigation into a domestic incident.

She was taken to the Wayne County Jail, awaiting arraignment on Friday.
