NEW YORK — NYSEG and RG&E are continuing power restoration overnight and into Friday. The companies gave a timeframe to restore power to all customers affected by Wednesday’s storms.
NYSEG and RG&E said power will be restored to all customers by 11 p.m. on Friday.
As of 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, crews have restored power to over 46,000 NYSEG customers since Wednesday. About 4,300 customers in the Geneva area, including Ontario, Wayne, Seneca, and Yates counties, are without power.
As for RG&E, nearly 40,000 customers have had service interruptions since Wednesday, and about 1,300 customers, across the areas of Monroe, Orleans, Allegany, Livingston, and Wyoming counties, are without power as of 8:20 p.m. on Thursday.
In the Geneva area, NYSEG will give out dry ice and bottled water on Friday at the Waterloo Fire Department.
