YATES COUNTY, N.Y. — The Yates County Public Health Department (YCPH) reported that there’s one confirmed case of measles in an unvaccinated person within the county on Tuesday.
The department says the case isn’t linked to recent travel, and the person was likely exposed locally.
The department is also working with the New York State Department of Health and other local healthcare providers to contact people who may’ve been exposed. Additionally, the department adds that anyone who went to Dutch Kuntry Store in Dundee on Aug. 25 may have been exposed to measles.
